Grocery Raffle Fundraiser

We just completed our first Major fundraiser, a raffle for $1,000 of free groceries. Thanks to all who purchased tickets and supported our fund raising drive!. We raised over $12,000 for the dogs at the shelter!

The drawing was held at 3:00 on Friday May 1st, 2009 at the shelter.

And the winner was.....Mari Delaney, from Elmira New York.

We would also like to thank some special volunteers who made this raffle possible: First, Ginny and Augie Frati who gave their hearts to a special needs dog named Maggie adopted from our shelter, only to lose her a few short months later and then in her honor give many hours to this effort, including stuffing all of those envelopes! And special Thanks to Lynette Gergel who also worked many hours helping us track all of the donations and tickets and helping to make sure we got our Thank you letters out to all those who made donations in addition to their raffle ticket purchases.
